46% Pakistanis chose their educational field under pressure from parents or family members: Gallup & Gilani Pakistan

(Islamabad), June 20th, 2023 According to a survey conducted by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 46% of Pakistanis chose their educational field under pressure from parents or family members. A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the country, was asked the question “Please indicate whether the educational program/field you are studying in or have studies in is one that you chose according to your own preferences or whether it was chosen under pressure from parents or a family member?” In response, 40% said chose according to own preferences, 46% said chose under pressure from parents/family member, and 14% said they do not know or gave no response. Unhappy Internet Users: 43% Pakistani internet users say they would feel ‘satisfied, happy and safe from all kinds of stress’ without the internet: Gallup & Gilani Pakistan

(Islamabad), June 23rd, 2023 According to a survey conducted by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 43% of Pakistani internet users believe they would feel satisfied, happy, and safe from all kinds of stress without the internet. A nationally representative sample of internet users from across the country was asked the question, “Suppose if the Internet is removed from your life, how do you imagine life without the Internet?” In response, 28% said life without internet would be dull, boring and without fun, 7% said without internet, my household income will be adversely affected, 10% said without the Internet I would feel lonely and disconnected from others, 7% said without internet I would feel anxious, frustrated and stressed, 43% said without internet I will feel satisfied, happy and safe from all kinds of stress, 13% said I don’t know how I will live my life without internet, and 7% gave no response.
